September 18, 2023What you eat each day can cause your skin to react in different ways. Some
people might experience inflammation, redness, puffiness, eczema, acne
breakouts, increased signs of aging, and more.
Humans rely on a balanced diet of water, grains, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats,
and protein. If your daily nutritional intake lacks significant food groups, your
skin won’t get the vitamins and minerals needed to remain plump, moisturized,
and firm. There are vitamins and minerals the body needs to function properly
such as vitamin c, vitamin A, vitamin B, just to name a few, that is gotten from
what we eat and if we don’t inculcate certain things or inculcate too much of
certain things in our diet it affects our body health.
Some skin conditions are triggered by certain foods or their content so finding
out if there are things you are allergic to or that are a trigger for your skin issue is
an important part of creating your diet plan. Some common examples are greasy
or oily foods. These have been associated with acne, Hence people with oily/
acne prone skin are advised to abstain from oily and greasy food. Foods with
high sugar or fat content can affect a person with psoriasis and the list goes on.
Different foods may have adverse effects on our skin, but there’s food with
positive effects on the skin such as fruits and vegetables; foods rich in nutrients
like walnuts or salmon filets have omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to many
bodily functions, including your skin cells’ health.
One may not realize the importance of a healthy and proper diet or may
downplay its importance but a good diet is crucial for maintaining good body
health.
Excess sugar can cause your blood sugar level to be high, it can also cause
diabetes and can also cause acne, this combined with an excess of fatty and
generally unhealthy foods can make one obese, lack of iron in our diet will cause
a reduction in the red blood cell production which causes anemia, even water
plays an irreplaceable role in our bodies, it keeps us hydrates and also hydrates
the skin, we shouldn’t drink water only when we feel thirsty, we should drink at
least 2.7-3.7 liters of water a day and substituting water for soda or other
beverages isn’t the best option for our health, while you can still take whatever
beverages you want(advisably not in excess) you still need water and it shouldn’t
be substituted for anything else.
what goes into our bodies reacts with our body either for good or for bad so we
need to be conscious of what we take into our system and how it affects us so
our immune systems are not compromised by the things we ingest and our
bodies are functioning at maximum capacity keeping us strong and healthy.
